Community Guidelines

The TDEE Calculator community is a place to stay motivated together: weekly leaderboards, friends and cheers. These rules keep it friendly and safe.

The rules

  • Adults only. The community is for people aged 18 and over.
  • Be kind. No hate, harassment, bullying or threats in your nickname, your emoji or the cheers you send.
  • Choose a fair nickname. 2 to 20 letters, numbers or spaces. No offensive, sexual or misleading nicknames, and don’t pretend to be someone else.
  • Keep personal details private. Don’t use your full real name, address, phone number or other private details as a nickname.
  • Play fair. No spam, fake accounts or tricks to climb the leaderboards.
  • Respect “no”. If someone removes or blocks you, don’t try to reach them another way.

What other people can see

Only your nickname, emoji, country and weekly stats: streak, days logged and distance. Never your weight, food, body measurements or anything else from your log. You can hide yourself from public leaderboards in Community → Settings; your friends still see you.

Reporting and blocking

Tap a person on a leaderboard or friend list to report or block them. Blocking means you won’t see each other anywhere, and they can’t send you cheers. Reports go to us for review.

What happens when rules are broken

We review reports and may reset an offensive nickname, hide someone from leaderboards, or suspend their community access for a week. Serious or repeated breaks lead to a permanent community ban. A suspension or ban only affects the community. The rest of the app keeps working.

Leaving

You can leave at any time in Community → Settings → Leave the community. Your community profile, friends, cheers and stats are deleted from our server straight away. See the privacy policy for details.
